Around Alpine Ave.

CALLING AVON

Remember the ring of the doorbell and it would be "Avon Calling"?  That seems to be changing as  Avon retail stores are becoming very popular.  Alpine Township too  has  an Avon retail outlet at 5365 Alpine Ave.   The store is operated by Avon representative Julia Bell.  The store in Alpine has all types of beauty products on display, including a section for men.

Now there are two Bakery Outlet Stores

For years, residents in and around the Alpine Township community stopped in on their way from work at the Butternut Bakery Thrift Shop at 740 Lamoreaux Drive, to pick up a loaf of bread, a sweet treat, or a variety of other items that you need and  you would rather not have to stop at the big grocery store for.  Today, the Alpine Township store is the only remaining Butternet Outlet remaining in the greater Grand Rapids area.

Yesterday saw the grand opening of a Bimbo Bakeries Thrift Bakery Outlet located on Alpine Ave in the strip adjacent to the Meijer Outlet Store. The store is different from the Butternut outlet in that at this time it carries only bakery products and, of course, it carries products from Bimbo Bakeries with labels such as Brownberry, Entenmann. Thomas, Arnold, Boboll and more.  Whatever your preference, support your local bussinesses.
