Meet Penny Weller

Please meet Penny Weller.  Penny was recently appointed by the Kent County Board of Commissioners to represent the Townships of Alpine and Plainfield, and the City of Walker on the Kent County Library Board.  Penny is a resident of Alpine Township but received endorsements from George Meek, Supervisor of Plainfield  Charter Township,  Rob VerHeulen, Mayor of Walker, as well as from  Alex Arends, Supervisor of Alpine Township.  Penny has been spending a lot of time volunteering at Spectrum Health as well as for the Association for the Blind and Hearing Impaired.   She is currently the Treasurer of the Walker Lions Club. Penny worked at Meijer for 47 years where she spent much of her time in Training, from training new cashiers to facilitating management training programs.

Please join us in congratulating Penny for serving on the Board of the Kent District Library.  One of her first tasks is assisting the board in selecting a new executive director for the Kent District Library.
