Mothers Day Flowers, Boy Scout Troop 223

The weather and competion did not deter members of Boy Scout Troop 223 from selling Mother's Day flowers at the busy corner of Alpine Ave and Lamoreaux Drive. The weather was in the mid thirties on Saturday, with heavy winds. Scout Leader Tim Pickart and his boy scouts have been very active in the Comstock Park community, and have been a part of the Alpine Township Memorial Day Service for many years. This year's program will be at Pine Grove Cemetery , 6200 Vinton, just north of Seven Mile Rd. N.W., and Tim and his troop will once again be participating in the ceremony. We thank them for help in recognizing the many veterans buried in our three Township Cemeteries.
