After having served the public for several decades, the tennis courts at the Alpine Township Sports Complex were removed unceremoniously today. Repairing the courts was cost prohibitive, and would have required total replacement anyway. There are no immediate plans for what the empty parcel will be used for. The tennis courts located at Westgate Park are scheduled for minor repair in the spring. Other tennis courts are now available at Comstock Park and Kenowa Hills High schools.
