Harvest Time Fun

Ed Dunneback & Girls
It's harvest time and time to take the family to the farm for some fun and frolic. What are the best places to visit? Those farms right at home in Alpine Township, of course. There are a number of places you don't want to miss.
Ed Dunneback and Girls has a 6 acre corn maze with 4 check points within the maze for challengers to locate and learn more about farming with John Deere.
The corn maze will be open on Saturday and Sunday (weekdays by appointment only). Ticket sales end one hour prior to close.   The farm is located at 3025 Six Mile Road NW • Grand Rapids, Michigan 49544. Phone 616-784-2820 or 616-784-0058 for more information and hours of operation.
Another great place to enjoy is Schwallier’s Country Basket. is a family owned business dating back to 1989 and is located in the heart of the apple capital of Alpine Township. A store unlike any other, it has grown from humble beginnings as a roadside produce stand into a thriving Northern Grand Rapids. They provide family fun and healthy and delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. Throughout the years, they have striven to add new and fun things for the family to do at the farm. Their fall activities include (Pick your own apples, slide, cow train rides, wagon ride, shelled corn play area, etc.)  Schwalliers Contry Basket is located at 1185 9 Mile Rd. om the west side of M-37. They can be reached by phone at 616-785-9896.

Is it Art Prize or Schwallier's Country Basket?
We haven't even began talking about the donuts and some of the other good food available at both places.

For those who just want to be scared out of their wits, we recommend the Witch's Walk, located South of 6 Mile NW on Fruitridge. Call 784-8301 for hours.  There is an admission charge.
