Pure Michigan -Simply Alpine Township

This first sunny brisk day in October was perfect for visiting a few Alpine Township farm markets.

Schwalliers County Basket

Schwallier's Country Basket is located at 1185 9 Mile Rd. NW just west of M-37 Alpine Ave.

Not certain if they sell more donuts than apples but they should be famous!

Homrich Under the Pines Farm Market

  1. An array of colors of the produce at Under the Pines reminding us that it is October, and that we will soon be visited by little munchkins.  Not long after that  we will be celebrating Thanksgiving.  For many of us, this is the best time of the year.  Business at Under the Pines was as brisk as the weather Saturday.  Under the Pines is located at 6103 Alpine Ave NW. near 7 Mile Rd. NW.

Ed Dunneback and Girls Farm

Business was also brisk at Ed Dunneback and Girls Farm Market at 3025 6 Mile Rd. N.W.  The Corn Maze "Rocking the Farm" is a big attraction but there are plenty of other activities for kids and donuts and cider for the adults.  A big chili cook off is planned for Saturday, October 22 · 10:00am - 5:00pm and they may just be waiting for your winning entry.  More information is available at their website http://www.dunnebackfarm.com/
