Liz Christensen Retiring August 7th

To many, she is the voice or face of Alpine Township. Whether she answers the phone, is at the front desk providing assistance, or is taking payments, the Township could have no person represent them better than Liz Christensen. In July Liz announced her retirement to spend more time with her ninety year old mother, her grandchildren, and her husband Roger. Liz has served the Township in various capacities, starting out as part time receptionist and clerk for the Alpine Township Fire Department. In November of 2008 , Liz accepted the position of Deputy Treasurer. Please join all our employees, the Township Trustees, and members of other boards in wishing Liz many wonderful years in retirement. Although Liz will be sorely missed, stepping into her position will be Beth Alt, currently our Deputy Clerk. Beth is very much looking forward towards her new responsibilities as Deputy Treasurer and the new challenges the position will bring.
