Memorial Day Service to Recognize all Deceased Veterans

Their graves are scattered throughout the four cemeteries in Alpine Township.  Men and women who risked their lives to defend our freedom through war time and during peace time and whose lives are now complete.
Since Alpine Township does not have a Veteran's Day ceremony, these deceased heroes will be recognized in a Memorial Day service scheduled for Monday May 26th. The short ceremony will take place at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Grove Cemetery, 6200 Vinton NW, in Comstock Park.  The service is conducted by elected officials from Alpine Township and will be assisted by Boy Scout Troop 223 and an honor guard from the American Legion Furniture Post 258.  The ceremony is open to the public and refreshments will be available.

Below are randomly selected graves of just a few of the many veterans buried at Pine Grove Cemetery. Others veterans are laid to rest at Englishville, Alpine and Holy Trinity Cemeteries. More Alpine Township Veterans are buried across our nation and abroad.
