Alpine Township on Receiving End of Eagle Scout Project

Greg Brill
When Greg Brill approached officials at Alpine Township about looking for a project to complete in his quest to become an Eagle Scout, it was almost a no brainer.  The playground at the Alpine Township Recreational Complex was in need of a park bench  as well as shade.  Providing a place to sit will certainly be appreciated by the parents whose young children use the facility.
On Saturday Greg, accompanied by family members and his scout master, installed a bench for adults, a bench for children, and planted a shade tree.  What seemed like a simple task turned out to be quite the challenge, Greg was up to the task.  All of Greg's brothers are Eagle Scouts and belonged to Boy Scout Troop 223 in Comstock Park.  Alpine Township feels a close relationship because the troop has participated in the Township's Memorial Day Service for many consecutive years.
