Alpine Township Firefighters met at Cranberry Lake this morning hoping to train in cold water rescue operations. Unfortunately the ice was too thick to penetrate safely so the rescue operation had to be postponed for another day.
Everyone was a little disappointed that the rescue training operation had to be called off. 
Looks like firefighters are coming back from an exhaustive operation
Cranberry Lake this morning. In addition to the firefighters, there were a few ice fishermen on the lake.
