Kenowa Hills High School hosted the annual Kids Health and Safety Days sponsored by the Walker Chamber of Commerce. The Alpine Township Fire Department was on hand so kids could tour the newest Fire Engine and also distributed coloring books in recognition of Fire Safety Week. Amongst the exhibitors were the Kent County Sheriff's Department and the Girl Scouts of America. The Comstock Park Lions were represented and offered free eye screening for all the children in attendance. The program was chaired by Angela Hanks, branch manager of Chemical Bank. In addition to Chemical Bank, there were booths for West side Fitness, and Bell Family Chiropractic.
