It was Football Friday in Alpine Township at noon today with free pizza and drinks and cookies thanks to the nice people of the Lake Michigan Credit Union at 4560 Alpine NW. The event was featured around the Comstock Park - Sparta football game which will be in Sparta tonight as part of their Homecoming. Sparta is 6-1 and Comstock Park is 5-2 overall this year. Both have students from Alpine Township, as does Kenowa Hills (5-2) which plays at home against Forest Hills Central tonight.
