Pizza, anyone?

One thing offered in Alpine Township is lots of choices for pizza.  Beginning with award winning pizzas from Fricano's and special pizzas from Amore's,  Alpine Avenue has a number of pizza establishments including Little Caesar, Hungry Howie's, and Papa John's.  The fact that JT Pizza and Mafia Mike recently closed shop did not stop some young entrepreneurs from trying their hands at success.

Clicker's Pizza opened up recently at 4438 Westshire NW, the location vacated by J.T.'s Pizza when the owners retired.  In fact if you like J.T.'s Pizza, like so many people do, you will like Clicker's Pizza also.  The owner Mike Taylor and manager Mike Peters grew up with J.T.'s Pizza, both having worked there for years, were raised up in the neighborhood and both Mikes graduated from Comstock Park High School.  According to them, business has been good and they are eager to serve the Comstock Park/Alpine Township community.

Opening up tomorrow, Wednesday August 1,2012 will be RJ'S PIZZA, once the home of MAFIA MIKE'S, 3772 Alpine Avenue NW.  Owner Randy Sharp has been in the pizza business for over 20 years and knows it inside out.  His pizzas are unique as well and some are deep dish Chicago style pizzas.

SPEAKING OF PIZZA

There's a sign that summer is drawing to a close as teen volunteers who helped with the Alpine Township Library's Summer Programs got together this Tuesday afternoon to enjoy a pizza party.  Most of the major summer programs have been completed, giving the teens an opportunity to take some time off for themselves before school starts again.  Laura Wells, Manager of the Alpine Township Library (second from the right), is very appreciative of the youth and their contributions towards making the summer programs very successful.
