"SPUR One Another On" is the theme of this year's Day Camp sponsored by Maranatha Bible Church, 4426 Stony Creek Comstock Park This program has been part of the community for several generations and this year there were over 350 youth and children involved. The theme was taken from a scripture verse that reads: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, ..."
The theme iss Western and there are saddle back teachers and even a circuit rider. In addition to receiving a a clear message, kids are able to participate in several dozens of different skills. "Learning the ropes" includes Archery, Air Riflery, Beadie Buddies, Canoeing, Ceramics, Cheerleading, Cooking, Critter Catchers, Drama, Fishing, Guitar 101, 201, 301, Handcrafts, Jewelry, Leather Craft, Outdoor Life, Advanced Outdoor Life, Paper Remake, Riflery, Scrap Booking, Shabby Chic Crafts, Soccer, Swimming, T-Shirt, and Ultimate Survival. The program concludes next week Thursday with a chow down to which family and friends are invited.
