Pedestrian Cross Walk on Lamoreaux?

A pedestrian crosswalk on Lamoreaux has been discussed with the Kent County Road Commission recently especially with the proposed new sidewalks that will be installed on the south side of Lamoreaux.  Whether or not such installation would have helped this elderly pedestrian across the street more safely recently is unclear.
