Work is continuing on the Westgate water improvements with 75% of the paving being completed today. Work may continue into the evening to pave Westgate, Lantern and Brandywine. Being paved last will be Westshire. After paving is complete, there will be lawn restoration. This has become an issue of concern after some lawns were poorly restored in July. The construction company is now using better topsoil that has been filtered to remove weeds, stones and tree roots. Later this month, the landscape company along with the contractor are expected to inspect the residences reseeded in July along Lantern and Stony Creek and Brandywine and re-work those lawns that were done poorly.
The Plainfield Water Department has scheduled a pressure change Wednesday September 21, at 9:00 a.m. for properties on Kittery Dr., Bowdoin Pines Ct., Bingham Ct., Lantern Dr., Lantern Ct., Brandywine Dr., Netherfield St., Westgate Ave (southeast of Westshire Dr.), Stony Creek Dr (south of Westshire Dr.), and Brookgate Dr (south of Westshire Dr. It is required that somebody be available to inspect your home for any leaks that may occur. Residents along these streets should have received notification and information from the Plainfield Water Department. For questions, you can contact the Plainfield Water Department weekdays at 363-9660 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
