All roads were to be 100% paved before school starts and they are not. Starting Tuesday, the contractors will have to modify their construction work to allow the school bus schedule to occur on all streets with no interruption.
The two school driveways to Lantern will be fully open from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM every school day. The top paving on Lantern at the main school drive will occur after 5:00 PM or on Saturday.
Bus traffic on all streets will be occurring as follows.
- 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM
- 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM
The contractor will coordinate all road work to allow bus traffic to proceed. Some paving will have to occur after 5:00 PM or on Saturday.
Parent school traffic and parking during the school day will have to be allowed. No parking signs may need to be placed before work starts in some areas.
I would just like to say that this construction has been a pain in my butt! I live in the neighborhood and my babysitter is also in the neighborhood. It has been a pain to get anywhere thru Westgate because they cannot seem to complete a section before starting a new one! I have to go to 6 mile road just to get to the other side of the neighborhood. I really wish that they would hurry up and get this done.
