Residents from York Creek and from the surrounding communities were invited to participate in York Creek Community Appreciation Day, also known previously as Tenant Appreciation Day. There were free hot dogs and drinks, lots of games and blow up toys for the kids, several radio stations provided music and much more. The Kent County Sheriff's Department showed off their Command Vehicle, and the Alpine Township Fire Department brought a fire engine. A thunderstorm deterred activities for a short while but when it cleared up everything was there for the enjoyment of the guests.
