The Comstock Park Educational Foundation sponsored it's annual Comstock Park Community Expo and over 500 students and parents visited the event Monday evening. There were booths from Comstock Park individual schools, houses of worship, organizations, community groups, and businesses. Several local restaurants provided food and drink.
Backpacks and school supplies that were collected and donated by various organizations were distributed to qualifying students. Churches provided games, local restaurants offered free drink and food, and there was free information everywhere. The Comtock Park Lions screened over 50 children for eye defects, the Kent CountySheriff's Department brought their Mobile Command Center. This Community Expo was exactly that, an exposition of community resources and services.
