Construction is moving right along on the new apple storage facility being build at Jack Brown Produce, 8035 Fruitridge NW in Alpine Township. The facility should be ready come harvest time. General contractor for this project is Fritz Wahlfield Construction (FWC), an Alpine Township based construction company. This is the second addition constructed in as many years.
Jack Brown Produce provides distribution services for fresh fruit, representing about 100 regional growers. It specializes in supplying major US supermarkets with apples and peaches, and also ships to customers in South America and on the Pacific Rim. The company was established in 1960. Jack Brown Produce is owned by its officers and by family shareholders. (Hoovers)
