This weekend, Alpine Township native and MLive reporter John Gonzales was in Traverse City telling everyone there that the cherries is Alpine Township are ready for the picking. This is indeed the case at the John Steffens farm on Walker Ave jest south of 8 Mile Rd. There are plenty of cherries left there for the picking, as well as at the Klenk farm on 10 Mile Rd. just north of Fruitridge.
