School Elections 2011

Election workers at the six Alpine Township precincts saw very small turn outs at the polls yesterday. 395 voters cast their vote by absentee ballot, while 295 visited the polls.  Most votes were in the Comstock Park School District, where there was a contested election for local school board. The election was won by Denise Clement.  Residents in the Sparta and Kenowa School Districts saw no local contests, while all three districts voted for trustees of Grand Rapids Community College.
