Comstock Park High School held it's annual Honors Assembly tonight and honored numerous students for academic achievement, community service, and much more. Students and visitors were greeted with music from the award winning Comstock Park Jazz Ensemble. Offering Special Scholarships were the Comstock Park Educational Foundation., Sons of American Legion, the Comstock Park Rotary, the Comstock Park Educational Employee's Scholarship, Kent County Education Association Scholarship, Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Co., Comstock Park American Legion Post #47. Bob Savage Scholarship. U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence, CPHS Student Volunteer Scholarship, College and Organization Scholarship, and the Grand Rapids Press Superstar Seniors. A number of honors academic and otherwise were then awarded by the staff and administration.

Denise Clement, who won the Comstock Park School Board election Tuesday, presented awards on behalf of the Comstock Park Education Foundation.
Two scholarships of $1,000 were presented by Comstock Park American Legion Post #47 Auxiliary and were presented by Bernie Gall
Marine Sergeant Bidwell presented awards on behalf of the US Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Program |
