The Best Place to Be Is Together. Those are the words on a the banner above the door leading to one of a number of rooms of the York Creek Community Center. Members of the Comstock Park Community Outreach Coalition had the opportunity today to visit the facilities as York Creek was the host for this month's meeting. Converting an abandoned Day Care Center adjacent to the apartment buildings is a project Paul Land and his family have taken a special interest in. The property will be managed by a local ministry Compassion This Way. Compassion This Way is a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the greater Grand Rapids community.
What makes this ministry special is its proven success to bring together community resources to make a difference. This fits right in with the Comstock Park Community Outreach Coalition which is made up of organizations that make such resources available. This includes representation from

A Grand Opening of the York Creek Community Center is scheduled for Saturday September 28th 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The public is invited to join in this celebration to learn more about what the Community Center has to offer our community.
