Silent Parade 2012

For the third year in a row, Alpine Township hosted the annual Silent Night Ceremony and Parade.  The ceremony recognized former firefighters who served local communities and have passed away over the past twelve months.  The names were read by a representative from the respective fire department followed each time with a bell ring.  This was followed with a silent parade with blinking  lights the length of over 30 fire trucks.  The parade moved through the Westgate residential community and ended up at Fifth Third Ball Park where refreshments were available and all the apparatus accessible for inspection.  This program is conducted during Fire Prevention Awareness Week.
